Gems of Knowledge: Sayyid Muhammad Amine Al Idrisi Al Hasani

Sayyid Moulay Mohamed Al Idrisi : Connecting Tradition and Reality of Da’wah in Modern Era

Sayyid Moulay Amine has this cool advice in his lecture during the ramadan. He says it's super important to understand the context when you're spreading the message of true Islam. He points out that prophets did things that were totally relatable to their time to get people's attention. For instant, Prophet Musa as. used magic because back then, magic was a big deal. And Prophet Isa healed people because everyone was into medical stuff. Even Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used beautiful poetry because Arabs were all about that art.

Sayyid says that today, da'wah should be in touch with what's going on. If da’i nowadays don't get the current issues or don't know much about society, economy, and culture, people won't listen to them. So, da'is need to connect Islam teachings with what's happening now, and explain things in a way that makes sense today.

Correct or not?

He also says that every Muslim is like an ambassador for their religion. To be a good ambassador, you need to know your stuff, be wise, and be able to talk to people in a way they get. It's all about making sure Islam stays relevant and respected in today's world.

Totally agree with Sayyid.

He's got a solid background in Islamic and academic study, so he's good with both worldly things and spiritual stuff.

As for me, Sayyid’s preaching style is just right for today's world. Fits well with the way things are nowadays.

He walks the talk.

Sayyid kicked off his educational journey in 2002 with a Diploma of Higher Education in Applied Arts from CREAPOLE in Paris. It was a creative and dynamic environment where he dove into the world of communication and design.

Following that, he had the unique experience of participating in Protocol Education under the guidance of Prince Ameer Mohamed Fatih bin Mohamed Said Al Hassani Al Djazairi in Damascus, in 2003. It was an enriching time for him that added a new dimension to his skills and knowledge of protocol.

His academic path then led him to the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis in France in year 2005 where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Public Law and Political Science. This period was foundational in shaping his understanding of the legal and political landscapes.

Staying in Nice, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Political Science at Sophia Antipolis University in 2008 to advanced his study further deepened his insight into the complexities of political systems and theories.

Sayyid really impressed his lecturer, Mr. Bellagamba Ugo. He's passionate about the history of political ideas and always jumps into debates, bringing a unique perspective to class discussions. Mr. Ugo thinks Sayyid has a deep understanding of the concepts and even quoted Paul Valérie to show how forward-thinking he is. With his blend of Arab-Muslim and French cultures, Sayyid has a promising future ahead in public service or politics (refer testimonial below).

2009 was a landmark year—Sayyid officially became a qualified lawyer after completing his Professional Lawyer Aptitude Certificate (CAPA). His legal career was now in full swing.

Wait. He didn’t stop there!

In 2010, he pursued another Master’s Degree, but this time in Political Sociology. And in 2016, he was honored to be a candidate for an honorary PhD, endorsed by Dato Sri Paduka Shafi’i in Malaysia. This recognition was a testament to his ongoing contributions and research in his fields of study.

Most recently, he completed a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy, focusing on "Diplomacy Rasulullah." This latest achievement reflects his ongoing passion for understanding and practicing diplomacy in today's world.
